Fill

Emptiness! At first when someone asked me to write about it, I couldn’t really pinpoint what kind of emptiness he meant but I knew right away it’s something we all feel to some extent, something that weighs heavily on us though it’s empty, something we can’t put into words! There’s a time in your life that seems like it’s you vs you, where you have a lot going on but can’t feel anything, where your heart and soul leave you standing! It doesn’t warn before it hits, you just feel it, and everything goes blank and quiet. Think of a time where you don’t feel neither happy nor sad, where you know something is wrong but can’t explain what it is, where you can’t feel or think of anything, that time when you don’t feel anything in the midst of everything. Emptiness is a feeling one can’t explain, and cannot avoid, it’s a big void but one that can be filled. But how to fill something that takes up so much space, something that you can’t get hold of? Campsite rule states “Leave the campsite better than when you found it” The campsite is none other than the community we live in, and yes the life rule should be none other than that of the campsite! In kinyarwanda they say «usize nkuru ki i muso...

So make sure you don’t leave a bad story for your past, the choices we make today will soon be history but not forgotten, and trust when they say that the past affects the future, don’t take it as a joke the future is none other than tomorrow! If you choose badly today, you’ll be writing a bad past but it can catch up with you in the future. So let’s talk about choices, let’s see how we can make today better so that when we look back we will be proud, and when we look forward we will have the certitude that things will be well.  There’s only one choice that sums it all up, don’t just exist, live! When you exist you are just there, but when you live you impact! You give, you forgive, you inspire but most importantly you love. Loving encompasses everything a well-lived life is. I read somewhere that forgiveness without love is one thing but that...
